However, when I go back to device manager to check the display adapter, it still shows the SVGA. When I go to the dell website and download and install the video drivers, it gets installed, gives me the successful installation message window, and requires me to restart the pc which normally indicates that the drivers have been successfully installed and working. On updating the drivers from the device manager by searching automatically, it installs the Standard Video Graphics Adapter (SVGA) drivers. Unfortunately this is not the case with the 7020 models.īy default, after re-imaging, the display adapter shows the Video Garaphics controller which fails installing. Normally, I would go to dell website and put in the service tag of the tower and download the missing drivers and it would work fine. I have re-imaged imaged this optiplex 7020 from the standard image that we have at work.
